Coalition Network of Forensic Examiners
What is the Coalition?
The Coalition Network of forensic auto theft examiners is NOT a
fraternal association. The coalition is composed of the most prestigious, reputable and creditable nationwide experts in the
field of auto theft forensic examinations, vehicle origin and cause and forensic theft examinations, the microscopic forensic
examination of locks, keys and lock components, lock and key wear pattern analysis, Key Pathway® processes, vehicle mechanical
analysis, crash data retrieval, accident reconstruction and a full line of forensic locksmith services.
The coalition
network partners all co-share their specific processes, while inviting peer review among coalition members. The only prerequisite
for joining the coalition is that the forensic firm applying for consideration for membership be duly licensed in their State
of base operation, be fully licensed (if so required) to conduct their services, and to present their processes used in their
various forensic service lines inviting coalition members to review and critique their processes. They must be of excellent
moral character and maintain and follow a professional code of ethics.
What is our goal?
The foremost goal of the coalition is to set standards used by
our members that have been reviewed and critiqued by all of our members and to conduct our services for our clients, in a
non biased approach, whether the client represents law enforcement, the insurance industry, the fire services or for plaintiffs
in civil litigations and defendants in criminal proceedings.
The second goal is to “clear the air” of the many areas of incorrect and deceptive information that
has been disseminated to the unsuspecting public by those self-proclaimed purported “experts” in the relevant
forensic fields, especially if they have not exhibited or offered their procedures to peer review.
Our next goal is to provide training in our designated fields using
the scientific methods and standards approved by our members. There are those non-coalition “experts” that are
only interested in selling the unsuspecting public their ideas and baseless opinions on how to conduct their type of forensic
exams, either by offering for sale their books, articles or CD’s. One cannot obtain the education and training needed
in these fields by reviewing CD’s or books, especially when they have not offered the materials to their peers for review.
In the coming months, we will author more articles regarding the coalition as well as issue changes in the industry.
Our member’s geographical area of services includes all 50 states, and we have associates who are recognized international
experts in all of the aforementioned fields in Canada, the United Kingdom, Australia, New Zealand, Denmark and Switzerland.
All of our peer review members are also members of the International
Association of Investigative Locksmiths and other recognized accredited associations. Our members can provide expert witness
testimony in their specific fields in any venue in the nation.
